Helix Linear Technologies is currently celebrating its fourth year manufacturing the small diameter Power AC Acme Screw product line (lead screws under 5/8" in diameter). Helix Linear acquired the product line from Nook Industries, Inc. in 2017. The acquisition complemented Helix's robust lead screw and linear actuator product offering and continues to provide customers with a complete source for all of their acme screw and linear motion component needs. The Power AC Acme Screw product line was initially established in 1969 by Joseph H. Nook Jr., founder of Nook Industries.

Power AC precision acme lead screws from Helix Linear Technologies are manufactured by thread rolling, thread milling, or a thread grinding process. Each one of these processes makes high precision screws which results in a  smooth precise performance. Helix power ac acme screws can also be manufactured in many different materials including stainless steel, alloy, titanium, and even aluminum.
