Our Helix H10X™ coating is now available. We have debuted a new PTFE coating in order to ensure an even longer life of your lead screw. Below are the top 10 reasons why our H10X™ coating is an improvement: 

1) Reduces wear to provide 8 to 10 times the nut life. This has been consistently demonstrated in our internal wear testing and customer application testing. 

2) It adds 5 to 6 points to screw efficiency.

3) Coefficient of friction reduced to .08 static, .09 dynamic. The uncoated value is .15.

4) It's low friction. Our proprietary PTFE provides a low friction surface layer between the screw and nut threads. The Helix H10X™ stays on the screw for the life of the product.

5) It's durable:

  • Less likely to be damaged during straightening, handling, and installation
  • Hard coating which is more forgiving when machining ends or other secondary operations
  • Not susceptible to flaking, chipping, denting, or peeling like soft coatings

6) It's compatible with greases and cutting fluids:

  • Not necessary to use grease but not detrimental if grease is added
  • Does not react and form paste or strip off coating
