The Thread Rolling Operator is responsible for setup and operation of cylindrical thread rolling machines.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: One year certificate from college or technical school
Experience: Six months to one year training or related experience
Specific Skills: Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions and interact with multiple personality types.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc: Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
Mechanically inclined with strong math skills. Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers. Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates, and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds. Must have the following tools in working order: Calipers, Micrometers, and Basic machining tools.
Working Conditions/ Physical Demands:
Typical production conditions including standing for long periods of time (up to 10 hours). Ability to use and clean small tools. Daily lifting of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to machine coolants and oils.
Internal: Daily work related communication with other employees. Management discussions as
needed regarding job related issues.
Ability to problem solve when setting up the machines.
