Support Bearing Unit with ACCBs (SBU)

The SBU is a traditional bearing arrangement, complete with seals, designed to simplify the design and assembly process for customers guiding ball or roller screws. It comprises a stack of angular contact ball bearings (ACBBs) arranged to provide reliable support in a familiar, well-understood configuration. The SBU is lubricated with grease and is easy to install.
The SBU is designed for planetary roller screws (SRS or URS) with nominal diameters between 8 and 80 mm, and for recirculating roller screws (RRS) with nominal diameters between 8 and 125 mm.
Ideal for supporting other types of high-capacity ball screw designs.
Description of the SBU, the Support Bearing Unit with ACBBs
The SBU takes a proven, conventional approach to screw support, stacking angular contact ball bearings into a sealed, pre-lubricated unit that is straightforward to specify and install. Where the HHF is built around an integrated bearing for maximum power density, the SBU offers a more traditional bearing arrangement, well suited to applications where a familiar ACBB-based design and simple installation are the priority.
Performance
The SBU provides dependable, well-understood bearing support using a proven ACBB stack arrangement. While it does not match the power density of an integrated design like the HHF, its familiar configuration, standard sealing, and simple installation make it a practical, cost-effective choice for supporting roller screws and ball screws in a wide range of applications.
